INDOOR BADMINTON COURT CONSTRUCTION

Kelysports plans and builds indoor badminton courts, from the steel shed and floor base to court mats, lighting, posts and nets. Based in Hyderabad, we work across South India and pan India for schools, colleges, academies, clubs and facility owners, and plan each hall around what badminton needs most: enough clear height, glare-free lighting and a floor with the right grip.

MULTI-COURT BADMINTON HALL · KELYSPORTS PROJECT

WHAT A BADMINTON COURT PROJECT INCLUDES

A doubles badminton court measures 13.4 × 6.1 m. We plan the spacing between courts and to the walls so play is not cramped.

01

Hall layout and clear height

Number of courts, spacing, and roof height for high clears.

02

Floor slab or sub-floor

A level, dry base; a sub-floor system for wooden courts.

03

Structural shed (new halls)

Steel structure and roofing designed around the courts.

04

Badminton flooring

Wooden, PU or PVC court mats.

05

Glare-free lighting

Lights placed so players looking up at the shuttle are not dazzled.

06

Posts, nets and markings

Badminton posts made in our own workshop, nets installed and lines marked to standard.

INDOOR BADMINTON COURT DESIGN

What we plan before any court mat is laid, whether the hall is new or existing.

New shed or existing hall

We build steel sheds around the courts, or lay courts inside halls you already have, over a level concrete or stone floor.

Lighting placement

Fixtures are positioned so players looking up at the shuttle are not facing a bright light.

Surrounds and walls

Contrasting surrounds mark the playing area, and wall colours are chosen so the shuttle stays easy to see.

Sharing the space

One shed can hold badminton and pickleball courts side by side, planned as one layout.

BEST BADMINTON COURT FLOORING

Badminton needs grip for sudden lunges and enough give to protect knees and ankles.

BADMINTON COURTS ON PP INTERLOCKING TILES

Besides PVC mats and wooden floors, Kelysports lays badminton courts in PP interlocking sports tiles: in existing halls, in a large multi-court hall and outdoors on a concrete base.

INDOOR BADMINTON COURT FAQS

What does it cost to build an indoor badminton court?

It depends on whether you need a new hall or only flooring, and on the floor system. We give an itemised quotation after a site visit.

Wooden floor or PVC mat — which is better?

PVC mats give consistent grip and are the common choice for competitive play. Wooden floors add comfort and suit premium or multi-use halls, often with mats on top. We recommend based on use and budget.

How many courts fit in my space?

Share your plot or hall dimensions through the enquiry form and we will send a layout showing how many courts fit with proper spacing.

Do you supply badminton posts and nets?

Yes. Kelysports manufactures its badminton posts in-house, with weighted bases, and fits posts and nets as part of every court installation. See them in the project gallery above.
